Ray & Shannon

We’ve been on a joyful married journey for over 20 years and are parents to two lively teenage girls. Our relationship has grown through different seasons — work, family, change, uncertainty, and purpose — and one of the tools that shaped us most has been CliftonStrengths. What began as a simple curiosity early in our marriage has become a shared language that continues to deepen our understanding of each other.

Isaac Ray is an organisational consultant and senior executive coach who partners with leaders across global organisations to develop healthy, purpose-driven cultures where people and performance thrive. His work blends strengths-based development, relational intelligence, and systems thinking — always with a focus on helping people show up with clarity, connection, and courage.

Shannon Ray is a Product Owner and Senior Business Analyst with over 20 years of experience designing better systems, improving processes, and helping organisations deliver meaningful outcomes for the people they serve. She brings a calm, grounded presence, thoughtful questioning, and a deep commitment to clarity.

We care about helping couples build relationships rooted in understanding, empathy, and shared purpose — relationships that can grow and thrive through life’s changes.

StrengthsTogether is our way of offering couples the clarity, language, and safe space that has shaped our own journey. Today, we enjoy walking alongside other couples as they deepen connection, strengthen communication, and build a thriving partnership in work, family, and life.

What is StrengthsTogether for Couples?

It’s a guided learning experience using the CliftonStrengths framework to help couples understand themselves and each other more deeply. You’ll explore how your natural talents shape your communication, connection and shared growth — through a mix of reflection, dialogue and practical tools.

What is CliftonStrengths?

CliftonStrengths is a research-based assessment developed by Gallup that helps people discover what they naturally do best — their patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that can be productively applied in life and work.Instead of focusing on what’s wrong or missing, it helps you see what’s right with you.

Each person receives a unique combination of 34 Strengths themes, offering insight into how they build relationships, make decisions, and get things done.

In Strengths Discovery for Couples, we use this language of Strengths to help partners understand each other’s natural ways of seeing the world — turning difference into design, and awareness into appreciation.

How is it delivered?

Our sessions are held online via Google Meet, creating a relaxed, accessible environment wherever you are. Occasionally, we also host in-person sessions — these will be listed when available.

Is this therapy?

No. StrengthsTogether isn’t therapy or counselling — it’s a guided learning experience designed to help couples understand each other better.

Do we need to be in conflict or crisis?

Not at all. Most couples join because they want to invest in their relationship, not because something is wrong.

Do we need to complete the CliftonStrengths assessment before joining?

Yes. After booking, we’ll send you instructions to complete the CliftonStrengths online assessment. You’ll then email your reports to us so we can prepare a tailored experience for you.

Do we need any prior experience?

No. Everything is guided and explained. We encourage couple participants to join sessions with an open and learner mindset.
